This is a book that everyone can afford - and should!
The story is inspirational and one not to be missed.
Marguerite's style is succinct and really easy to read, and her story immediately draws you in and holds you right there. I am full of admiration for her and grateful that she has shared her remarkable journey. And it's still ongoing, so maybe a sequel when she's 90! I'll buy that one too!! I can feel a sermon coming on.

I was privileged to review Marguerite's original manuscript. This gave me some insight in her life and her spirit. She is a remarkable person in so many ways and I would recommend this book to everyone. Don't even think about it - just buy it! Then give a copy to everyone you care about. The fact that Marguerite decided to write a book and did it is testament to her approach to life! We all have thoughts, desires and dreams and then we lay back on the couch and reach for the remote. Not Marguerite! She is living her life with family, friends, and her beloved surf. Bring it on!

Finished the book in one session on a sunny afternoon - what a well travelled soul Marguerite is ! The book appealed to me on many levels.My dad is a fanatic body surfer and is currently hoping to be reincarnated as a dolphin.I have been a lawyer for 20 years.I also have a very low tolerance for lawyers who are snobs and or who have too many tickets on themselves.
I had the privilege of being lectured by Marguerite at the University of Auckland Law School in Advanced Roman Law which she was a doyen in no doubt attributable to her South African experience.She is certainly the sexiest lecturer I ever had by a long shot and was a breath of fresh air.It is good to see Marguerite has matured in her old age - I hope she pulls Gold, like the All Blacks, in the NZ Surf Champs in Piha in 2012.
The book should be mandatory reading for all lawyers in NZ ! Probably do us all a world of good and ensure we keep it real.

This is one amazing lady. We all have stories to be told but not all can do what Marquerite has done. To tell her life story and to open her life to all is incredibly inspirational. When I read the book it was like having her in the room reading it to me. I thank you for sharing your life with me.
